Every safe tile you uncover shows a number telling you how many mines are in the 8 tiles around it; use that information to figure out where the mines are without setting them off. Flag suspicious tiles so you don't accidentally reveal them. Questions about Minesweeper
How do you play Minesweeper?
Click a tile to reveal it. If there's no mine, you'll see a number showing how many mines are in the neighboring tiles (or it stays blank if there are none nearby, automatically revealing more tiles). Use those numbers to figure out where the mines are and flag them so you don't step on them.
How do I flag a mine?
Right-click, long-press on touchscreens or enable flag mode. Keyboard players can use arrow keys to navigate, F to flag and Enter or Space to reveal. Pause manually or hide the tab to pause the timer automatically.
Can I reveal the tiles around a number?
Yes. Click a revealed number when the number of neighboring flags matches it. The remaining neighbors open; incorrect flags can cause you to hit a mine.
Can I lose on my first click?
No. The first click of every game is always safe — mines are placed afterward, avoiding that tile and its neighbors, just like classic Minesweeper.
What difficulty levels are available?
Easy (9x9 with 10 mines), Medium (16x16 with 40 mines), and Hard (16x30 with 99 mines) — the same sizes as classic desktop Minesweeper.
Is my best time saved?
Yes, your best time for each difficulty level is automatically saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage), no account needed.
