Free Online MLB Career Simulator

The MLB Career Simulator is a decision-driven minigame: you create your player, pick one of the 30 major league teams, and simulate season after season. Along the way you'll face injuries (surgery and miss the season, or play through the pain?), free-agency offers when your contract expires, and eventually the choice to retire or play one more season. Your decisions, your overall rating, and a bit of luck decide whether you end up hoisting the World Series trophy or a role player. There's no sign-up or server: your name and your career history are saved only in your browser's storage.

How is winning the World Series decided?

Each season, a result is calculated from your team's strength, your overall rating, your health and morale, plus a random factor. The better that combination, the further you go in the playoffs, up to the title.

Is my data stored on a server?

No. Your player's name and your finished career history are stored only in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and are never sent to a server.

Can I choose my position?

Yes. You can choose between Pitcher, Catcher, first, second and third base, shortstop, outfielder, or designated hitter before starting your career.

Does the game use official MLB team logos?

No — logos are trademarks of each team, so the simulator uses badges with each franchise's real colors and a generic jersey customized with your name and number.
