Excel AND function
Returns TRUE only when every condition is true. It is almost always used inside IF. In Spanish Excel it is called Y.
Syntax
English Excel
=AND(logical1, [logical2], …)
Spanish Excel (Mexico)
=Y(valor_lógico1, [valor_lógico2], …)
Spanish Excel (Spain, Latin America)
=Y(valor_lógico1; [valor_lógico2]; …)
| Argument | What it is |
|---|---|
| logical1 | The first condition. |
| logical2optional | More conditions. |
Example
AND returns TRUE only when all its conditions are met. Inside IF, it requires several things at once.
=IF(AND(B2>=95,C2>=8),"Yes","No")
Common mistake
In Spanish Excel the function is simply Y. It does not work inside FILTER; multiply the conditions there instead.
