Frequently asked questions

What is CHOOSE called in Spanish?
In Spanish Google Sheets it is ELEGIR. The formula =CHOOSE(B2,0.02,0.04,0.06) is written =ELEGIR(B2;0,02;0,04;0,06) (or with commas under a Mexico locale).
Why does CHOOSE use semicolons in some spreadsheets?
It depends on each spreadsheet's locale, under File > Settings. Where the comma is the decimal mark (Spain, much of South America), arguments are separated by semicolons. Mexico and United States locales use commas.
What is the most common CHOOSE mistake?
An index below 1 or above the number of choices returns #VALUE!.
