Spanish Sheets (Mexico locale)
=BUSCARH(clave_búsqueda, intervalo, índice, [está_ordenado])

Example
HLOOKUP is the horizontal version of VLOOKUP: it searches the table’s first row and returns data from the row you choose.
=HLOOKUP(B5,B1:G3,2,FALSE)
Common mistake
The index counts table rows, not sheet rows. Without FALSE it matches approximately.

Frequently asked questions
- What is HLOOKUP called in Spanish?
- In Spanish Google Sheets it is BUSCARH. The formula =HLOOKUP(B5,B1:G3,2,FALSE) is written =BUSCARH(B5;B1:G3;2;FALSO) (or with commas under a Mexico locale).
- Why does HLOOKUP use semicolons in some spreadsheets?
- It depends on each spreadsheet's locale, under File > Settings. Where the comma is the decimal mark (Spain, much of South America), arguments are separated by semicolons. Mexico and United States locales use commas.
