Frequently asked questions

What is AVERAGEIFS called in Spanish?
In Spanish Google Sheets it is PROMEDIO.SI.CONJUNTO. The formula =AVERAGEIFS(D2:D10,B2:B10,"A",C2:C10,">=80") is written =PROMEDIO.SI.CONJUNTO(D2:D10;B2:B10;"A";C2:C10;">=80") (or with commas under a Mexico locale).
Why does AVERAGEIFS use semicolons in some spreadsheets?
It depends on each spreadsheet's locale, under File > Settings. Where the comma is the decimal mark (Spain, much of South America), arguments are separated by semicolons. Mexico and United States locales use commas.
What is the most common AVERAGEIFS mistake?
The average range comes first, as in SUMIFS.
