Spanish Sheets (Mexico locale)
=SUMAPRODUCTO(matriz1, [matriz2], …)
Spanish Sheets (Spain, Latin America)
=SUMAPRODUCTO(matriz1; [matriz2]; …)

|---|---|
| array1 | The first range. |
| array2optional | More ranges of the same size. |
Example
SUMPRODUCT multiplies the ranges row by row and adds up the results. It gives the total of a shopping list without a helper column and without ARRAYFORMULA.
=SUMPRODUCT(B2:B6,C2:C6)
Common mistake
The ranges must be the same size. It already works as an array, so it does not need ARRAYFORMULA.

Frequently asked questions
- What is SUMPRODUCT called in Spanish?
- In Spanish Google Sheets it is SUMAPRODUCTO. The formula =SUMPRODUCT(B2:B6,C2:C6) is written =SUMAPRODUCTO(B2:B6;C2:C6) (or with commas under a Mexico locale).
- Why does SUMPRODUCT use semicolons in some spreadsheets?
- It depends on each spreadsheet's locale, under File > Settings. Where the comma is the decimal mark (Spain, much of South America), arguments are separated by semicolons. Mexico and United States locales use commas.
